February Win & Tonic Blog Challenge

For the Win & Tonic Blog Challenge There is a list of  options and you can choose any of the options.
You can also combine some of the options if you want to so

 Colour - kraft plus anything 
Technique bling it up - so just add glitters, glitter drops, anything sparkly 
Product - free choice so anything Tonic is fine
Theme - happy anything ie birthday, anniversary or just be happy 

So for my first card my own personal challenge is to combine all four options and I probably ended up with something a bit OTT  but in a funny way I really like it, it's turned out much better than I expected. Bling & sparkles with Kraft card  is not something I would have thought have doing so I took it one step further & decided to find out if I could foil Kraft card.....

I've used the freebie die from the Tonic Collections magazine cut four times to create the background cut in Kraft card and  mounted on a navy pearl card. The joins are covered by the flowers which are Tonic Woodland aster shaped & layered and finished with a sparkly gem. 

I used the Tonic Essentials - Ribbon & Bow Layering Die Set cut in cream pearl paper Kraft card and foiled the Kraft card layers. The sentiment in layered on to some very sparkly self adhesive paper I bought a while back

Addicted to Tonic......

I am so loving the Tonic new Window Box dies. The first time I saw them I knew I had to have them as I could see so much potential for playing.

I'm finding it impossible to decide which is my favourite

and I still haven't managed to use them as intended

and so many more ideas in my poor little brain but not enough time to make them!

January Win & Tonic Blog Challenge

I had actually already started working on some ideas with this die before I saw what this months challenge was going to be!

I have used the Tonic Strip die & stamp set - Missing you. The flowers are one of my stash dies that I am experimenting with to see how many different styles of flowers I can make and I have used the Tonic Magnolia leaves to finish off. Black pearl card base, bright gold & red pearl paper and black card with silver glitter.

My next entry has evolved quite a lot since my original idea but I think it has actually turned out better than I thought it would....

I was also playing with this one....I used Tonic Clematis Vine simply screen die, cut four times with no gap and then cut out the middle to create a frame. I then decided I preferred the edges trimmed as well. I also used the Deco Trellis Base and Beautiful Blooms Magnolia Flora.

I've used a light ivory pearl card for the base, lilac pearl card & purple pearl paper for the layers and light ivory pearl paper for the flowers.

For this one I decided to do a bit of mixing & matching with lots of layers. I've used Tonic Window box - Pretty Piazza, Peony Promenade and the daisies I shaped with the help of some disposable shot glasses!

Win & Tonic Blog Challenge

I only found this last month and I really can’t quite believe that I have won this months challenge! 

 I always find it hard to work with patterned paper/ card so that was my challenge to myself with this one. 

I’ve used a Tonic punch for the first time here, the flowers are a flower stamp & die set from The Works. The sentiment panel are from the Tonic Eastern Oyster set and the tag was the free gift with the Die Cutting Essentials magazine (which I still haven’t read!)

I love the inspiration that this challenge gives me so here are some of the other projects I made using the Tonic free gift Tag die set....

I used four large tags to make the background, then four of the smaller tags. I also used the Tonic Magnolia flowers again & chopped up the flourish in that set to finish off.

I cut the large tag in velum & then mounted the other layers on to it. I laced up the sides with ribbon & also laced across the bottom and then put in a  small string of battery fairy lights in pink.

I cut lots of tags & then had a play to see what I could create. I chopped four tags to create the edge for the back layer & then chopped another five tags for the front layer.

Hello World!

I thought it was about time I started sharing some of my work properly so I’m making a start with some of my cards. 

I recently bought myself a Todo and it has been quite a large learning curve but I am loving playing with it, especially the foiling.

The embossing folder is Flutterby Butterflies by Crafter’s Companion, the foiling is with Todo Poppy Garden set.

 This was my first play with the Tonic Cassandra’s Garden. The flowers are Tonic Magnolia Floral.

This one was an experiment with laser foiling on the Todo and so far I am getting better results than I was when I was using my laminator.
